The chunky British plug, a thing of the past?

Yesterday (16/03/2010) a graduate one a leading design contest with his genius plug design.
Min-Kyu Choi, who’s plug design is less than a centimeter thick has transformed the standard British plug, which is ugly, chunky and hasn’t been redesigned since 1946!
His design won the Brit Insurance design of the year award and we can’t believe it’s taken this long for the plug to be redesigned. He’s proved that everyday objects such as the plug can be transformed into something elegant and practical.
We’re sure that Min-Kyu Choi will make his millions from this revolutionary plug design and hope it’s implemented soon, so that plugs no longer get in the way when we pack our precious Apple Macbooks into laptop cases.
